Can I Get an Appointment For an Examination On Short Notice?
At the Max Grundig Clinic, a quick appointment allocation is a matter of course – either immediately during the conversation or at the latest one day later you will receive your appointment. Of course, we always try to consider your wishes regarding appintments.
Is it allowed to eat or drink before the examination?
If an examination is carried out with a contrast medium, we recommend that you only consume liquids in the last 4 hours before the examination. You should take your medication as usual. There may be special cases; we will point them out to you at the appointment and in the preliminary discussion.

The actual examination time only takes a few seconds. In addition, the preparation must be included, such as storage, possibly laying a venous access, or laying ECG electrodes.
How Long Does a MRI Examination Take?
The MRI examination time depends on the questioning and the examination region. Examinations of the joints usually take 15 to 20 minutes, examinations of the head or abdomen take up to 30 minutes. In addition, it takes a few minutes for preparations, such as storage, and the provision of technical aids.
What If I Am Claustrophobic?
Our 3 Tesla MRI has a bright and open design with a diameter of 70 cm. The examination room with its large window and its view into the park creates a pleasant feeling. In addition, the head is located outside the opening during some examinations, which has a calming effect on many patients. If you still do not feel comfortable, we offer you an anxiety-relieving, calming medication. Should you have any discomfort in confined spaces, we will also find a suitable solution.
