We are pleased to provide you below with an overview of the options for covering the costs of your inpatient stay or outpatient treatment.

Private Health Insurance

The Max Grundig Klinik is a private clinic. Its status with private health insurance is that of a “mixed medical facility”, meaning that both hospital and rehabilitation treatments take place. Every inpatient treatment must be applied for with the insurance company prior to admission, and written approval should be obtained in advance.
The costs for a medically necessary inpatient hospital treatment are covered in full by private health insurers; the costs for a rehabilitation treatment are only covered within the scope of a corresponding insurance tariff.

Subsidy (Beihilfe)
The clinic is approved under the subsidy regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg as a hospital within the meaning of § 7 Para. 1 No. 1 BVO, and as a miscellaneous medical rehabilitation facility within the meaning of § 7 Para. 1 No. 4 BVO without a supply contract.
We will be happy to send you a corresponding certificate upon request.

Information on Cost Coverage

Persons entitled to subsidies submit their cost application with the help of a medical certificate simultaneously to both the subsidy office and the private health insurance. Written confirmation of subsidy eligibility should be obtained prior to admission.

The costs for a stay at the Max Grundig Klinik are covered by private health insurers and subsidy offices. Please obtain written confirmation of cost coverage in advance.
The clinic bills according to the so-called PEPP system (flat-rate remuneration system for psychiatry and psychosomatics). Further information can be found here.

Individuals eligible for civil servant health benefits (*Beihilfe*) and those with private health insurance may bill the medical services provided by the Max Grundig Klinik directly to their insurance providers. However, specific terms within individual insurance contracts may exclude certain services; therefore, it is strongly recommended that you review your agreement with your private health insurer or *Beihilfe* office. The Max Grundig Klinik is not authorized to provide services under the statutory health insurance system.

Furthermore, the Max Grundig Klinik’s Prevention Center does not offer standardized, fixed-package check-up services. Following a comprehensive initial consultation with a physician, the specific scope of necessary examinations is determined based on the individual patient’s situation. Pre-existing conditions, personal health concerns, and age play a decisive role in this determination. All examinations are billed as outpatient services in accordance with the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ).
