The Department of Rheumatology
Leveraging our sophisticated diagnostic expertise, the Rheumatology Department at the Max Grundig Klinik analyzes whether our patients are suffering from inflammatory or non-inflammatory disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and identifies the precise underlying causes of their symptoms. Inflammatory rheumatic diseases are, as a rule, autoimmune disorders. Accordingly, we conduct a structured diagnostic workup that specifically assesses for potential organ involvement. Our treatment concept is built upon these findings and is primarily delivered on an outpatient basis. Naturally, however, the Rheumatology Department at the Max Grundig Klinik also ensures the care of our inpatient patients. In this context, we maintain close collaboration and exchange with our colleagues across other medical disciplines.
